La Quica rose to the top of the cartel's ranks and became an expert to everything. He was not only Pablo's most trusted hitmen but was also responsible for helping Pablo'sarmy of killers. La Quica ran a sort of training camp for hitmen. Kids, boys sometimes girls too were taken from the street and trained to be loyal and expert killers for hire. La Quica was one of the best at what he did.
He would carve the words KK on his victims. This was to prove that he was responsible for the murder. It is rumored that he also skinned his victims alive and someimes went as far as having them castrated. The 1989 flight Avianca bombing plan was designed by La Quica. The incident killed 101 passengers where 2 US citizens were included.
